About Us

Sir Nick Faldo created the Faldo Series (charity number 1102719) in 1996 to give opportunity to young people through golf and to help identify and nurture the next generation of champions.

37 annual tournaments now take place in 27 countries worldwide, spanning the UK, Europe, South America, the Middle East and Asia.  Boys and girls aged 12 to 21 are invited to take part.

Thousands of talented golfers benefit from a unique combination of tournament experience and expert advice, including support and advice from Faldo himself.

The leading players qualify for either the Faldo Series Europe Grand Final in Ireland or the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final in China.  Both World Amateur Golf Ranking events are hosted by the six-time Major Champion.

Faldo Series past winners include Major Champions Rory McIlroy and Yani Tseng, plus Tour winners Nick Dougherty, Oliver Fisher, Marc Warren, John Parry, Rashid Khan, Melissa Reid and Florentyna Parker.

The Faldo Series also aims to create access to the sport for a younger audience through grass-roots initiatives at its tournaments.

A registered charity, the Faldo Series is underwritten by Faldo and supported by golf's governing bodies.  In total, more than 5,000 young people benefit from the programme each year.

“My main reason for starting the Faldo Series was to try and give something back to the game that has given me so much.”
