Faldo Design has redesigned the Wadi Course at the world famous Emirates Golf Club. The company’s intention was to refresh the strategic quality of the course, whilst retaining a sense of the Wadi’s unique character. The result is an engaging and considered renovation; it might even be said that the Emirates Club now has two equally challenging ‘desert miracles’ to offer its visitors, both amateur and professional alike.
Faldo's thoughts:
“I’ve been to Dubai many times and have always enjoyed playing in the Dubai Desert Classic, so this has been a very exciting project for me. Our brief was to breathe life into the Wadi by accentuating the unique Wadi theme and by adding a significant degree of drama and aesthetic quality to the course, and that is exactly what I think we have achieved. We’ve also made it a much more strategic, ‘thinking man’s’ golf course. I’m delighted that Faldo Design was appointed to renovate what is a very special course for me and tour players all over the world alike.”
