Cornelia Golf Club

Belek, Turkey

Par 72  |  7011 yards  |  6411 metres

A championship golf resort that undulates through mature pine woodland.

This 27-hole championship golf course is Faldo Design’s first design project in South Eastern Europe and was officially opened by the six-time Major winner in the summer of 2007. Consisting of three separate nine-hole loops, Cornelia is laid out amidst a vast ridge of sand dunes, and threads its way through a beautiful ancient pine-forest.

Faldo's thoughts:

“This is an exceptional piece of land – the wonderfully natural, pine-clad, sandy site is among the finest that I’ve worked on and that has in no small part helped us to create a course that has already become a real talking point in the Eastern Mediterranean. A broad dune ridge runs right through the centre of the property and we have utilised this feature on a majority of the holes; each of the nines includes several spectacularly elevated tees and greens, whilst the bold bunkering style that I have incorporated is unique to this part of Europe. The course is strategically very strong and, because of this, I hope that golfers will find it very ‘playable’, full of inspiration and extremely memorable.”
