Full Golf Course Design Services
Featuring a blend of strategy and memorability, each full length Faldo Design golf course is unique and is created in such a way as to offer an interesting challenge to all levels of golfer. With more than fifty projects completed or in various stages of development around the globe, Faldo Design has the requisite expertise and experience to design exceptional golf courses that sit comfortably in their environments.
Redesign and Remodelling
By their very nature, golf courses evolve and change over time. Equally, the game of golf has evolved and developed from its original form meaning that courses need to adapt to accommodate the demands of modern play. Guided by Sir Nick Faldo’s extensive knowledge of the game, Faldo Design is well placed to offer highly creative and strategic redesign and remodelling solutions for existing golf courses that are seeking to improve or enhance their facilities. For examples of our work see Ballyliffin and the Faldo Course at Emirates Club.
Par 3 and Short Golf Courses
Faldo Design firmly believes that the development of shorter golf courses will help to maintain and grow golf’s global popularity with recreational golfers. Ideal for less experienced players and for those new to the game, they are also a speedier alternative to traditional 18-hole layouts that are often too time-consuming for modern lifestyles. Within our Design Services we offer short course solutions that are either stand-alone facilities or attached to Faldo Academies; for project owners and managers, both arrangements offer an alternative revenue source and a viable point of difference in the marketing of their development.
"Just as property developers talk of ‘location, location, location’, our mantra at Faldo Design is ‘strategy, strategy … and memorability’. Golf is a mental as well as a physical game, and we like to create courses that encourage players to think and make interesting decisions; we aim to excite and inspire – so providing a memorable experience"
